FS Forestry, LLC is an experienced and insured sustainable enterprise located in the foothills of the Catskill Mountains. Services include many aspects of logging such as timber management, selective thinnings, clearcuts, excavating, chipping and grinding and the construction of access roads. We serve the private sector, agricultural, industrial, and commercial industries, including state and local governments. We are proud to say our focus is to minimize environmental impact and deliver optimum results on every project we undertake.
Sustainable Timber Harvesting
FS Forestry typically provides services for any species or harvest within a 50-mile radius from Oneonta, New York. However, we have successfully completed projects across Central New York.
Logging / Lot Clearing
A healthy forest has young trees and old trees of various species all coexisting together. Selective logging opens up holes in the forest canopy that allows regeneration of undergrowth and saplings, thereby increasing biodiversity. Whether your property covers several acres or just a small residential lot, you’ll be pleased to discover that our Logging / Lot clearing options are rendered quickly, professionally, and in the most environmentally responsible manner.
Woodlot Evaluation
FS Forestry will work with you to identify your goals and objectives, define the natural and cultural characteristics and the boundary lines of your woodlot. This step precedes our Sustainable Timber Harvesting and/or Logging / Lot Clearing Services.
Herbicide Application
In an effort to be a full-service provider, FS Forestry provides herbicide application services via a fully licensed and insured subcontractor.
